UCCC Polo 2026

Ever wanted to go for a thrash around in a boat, with peers, and on a random arvo, with balls? Well, doesn't UCCC have just the thing for you. Every year, UCCC in collaboration with MCPA hosts Canoe Polo social nights on Tuesdays at Lake Roto Kohatu.  We cover all skill ranges and provide all the gear needed to play. It's also the perfect place to perfect your roll and learn to pull whoopies fatter than your mates.

Gear hire covers all gear, including a boat, paddle, PFD, helmet and spray deck. Even if you only require a PFD, you will need to pay the 15$ to cover maintenance costs.

League Dates:

• Summer League runs from Feburary 10th to April 19th.

• Spring League runs from October 20th to December 15th.

Cost Break Down:

• UCCC Membership $20 - you must be a member of UCCC or Burnside Canoe Club to play.

• MCPA / NZCPA Membership $52 - These guys organize the leagues and maintain the playing pitches. This fee is annual so only needs to be paid once to cover the 2 leagues.

• Team Fee $21 - This covers the cost to enter the team into the league.

• Gear Hire $15 - If you haven’t got your own gear this gets you everything you need for the whole league!

We know it sounds like alot but all up you get around 20 games per league for less than the cost of one whitewater trip!

UCCC members are welcome to come to two polo nights to try it out before paying the fees!
